SWICA is committed to providing practical, varied and active training, and offers the following certified courses in partnership with Sanacare/notfallsicher.ch:

BLS/AED course (comprehensive course on raising the alarm and providing first aid on the spot)

Participants learn how to apply basic resuscitation techniques (BLS) including automatic external defibrillation (AED) in different situations, with due regard for their own safety.

  • Basic resuscitation techniques for children and adults
  • How to use an AED (automatic external defibrillator)
  • Loss of consciousness, heart attacks, strokes
  • Rescue chain: from stabilising the patient to raising the alarm and delivering immediate first aid
  • Industry and company-specific topics

  • 4 hours

First Aid Level 1–3 IVR-IAS

Occupational first aiders play a key role in saving lives in the workplace. The first aider training provided by the Interverband für Rettungswesen (IVR-IAS), the umbrella organisation for emergency medical assistance, comprises three levels and teaches people how to gain vital time as on-site first aiders and look after injured persons. They manage the situation until the emergency services or company doctor arrive and provide support with the next steps.
